- Parts Inventory Control (Program: 55,000 BYTES, Documentation: 160,000
- BYTES)
-
- "Parts Inventory Control" was developed for use on an IBM-PC to meet the
- requirements of a small business that deals in parts and service, such
- as a motorcyle dealership, an appliance store, a farm implement dealer,
- a bicycle shop, or a computer store. Documentation consists of Tutorial
- and a User's Guide.
-
- The advantages of this program over other inventory programs is its'
- execution speed (written in 8088 assembler), its' data compaction on
- diskettes (8191 records which expand to 150 characters each), its'
- emphasis on data entry (skip fields, save last used records in memory,
- foreground data entry, background diskette and printer operation), its'
- sort time, about 20 seconds for 5000 records, and its' search speed
- (index in memory). It is menu driven, provides on line help, takes
- advantage of the function keys, and, except for monthly history updates,
- requires no diskette swapping.
-
- The program provides the following options:
- :OL COMPACT
- :LI.Diskette option to format (five 1024 byte sectors per track)
- or backup diskettes.
- :LI.Record option to save supplier and manufacture names, create
- default, and miscellaneous (printer, and financial) data;

- receive, sell, return from customer, or return to supplier.

- Can update daily (optional), monthly, and yearly. Edit programs
- for sale and tax history diskettes. Program to calculate reorder
- point and quantity.
- :LI.Print option for master list, orders, under stock, over
- stock, count/order, sales history, and tax information (LIFO and
- FIFO). Qualified by class, supplier, dates, etc.
- :LI.Utility option to transfer data to DOS format and to adjust
- all selling prices, by class and manufacture.
- :EOL
